Un mème est né cette semaine, tout est parti d’une réplique sur un forum de jeu vidéo, un internaute publie ceci :

Bonjour à tous, je sais pas en faite, si je dois m'acheter la PSP,
j'hésite trop x) Certains vont me dire : MER IL ET FOU.
Je leurs répondrait que non x) Pouvez vous me dire les + et les -,
et j'aimerais savoir si sa vaut VRAIMENT le coup.

Immédiatement, des dizaines d’internautes se mettent à répéter « MER IL ET FOU » et à mettre en scène ces 4 mots, c’est hilarant et à découvrir sur : [Gamekult] (le mème met près de 10 posts à décoller, mais après c’est impressionant.)

Ogori Cafe : "on vous sert la commande du client précédent"

Vous vous souvenez de Mystery Google, le moteur de recherche qui vous montre les résultats de la recherche précédente ? Et bien, je viens de découvrir qu’il existe la même chose dans un café japonais qui s’appelle Ogori Cafe. dans ce café : on vous sert la commande du client précédent et on paye pour sa commande. On peut  être radin, ou généreux, commander juste ce qu’on aimerait avoir et espérer que le client précédent avait les même envies. C’est au choix. Il se trouve au Urban Design Center Kashiwa-no-ha. J’ai découvert ce café en lisant un article publié sur le blog de Cabel. Et voici en gros son histoire :

Il était au Japon quand il est allé se rafraichir dans ce café sans connaitre son originalité. Il commande un jus d’orange, et se retrouve avec un jus de pomme, un bonbon étrange et une petite carte. Devant son incompréhension, le serveur lui explique que dans ce café, on sert la commande du client qui précède.

Surpris, il reste un peu en terrasse à déguster son jus de pomme. Une japonaise s’approche alors du bar, lit l’avertissement et tente de demander à Cabel ce qu’il a commandé. Une serveuse empêche Cabel de répondre. Peu importe sa commande, elle a obtenu le jus d’orange que Cabel avait commandé. Et ce qui était magique est qu’elle souhaitait avoir un jus d’orange.

Avant de partir, un copain de Cabel s’est dit qu’il allait faire plaisir à la personne suivante. Il a commandé de la glace, des bonbons, des boissons etc… pour que la personne suivante soit  surpise. En partant, ils entendent « Merci beaucoup », hurlé par une femme et son enfant qui venaient de découvrir leur commande.

L’Ogori Cafe est fermé depuis que cette hsitoire a été vécue. Une idée comme celle-ci, pourrait-elle fonctionner en France ? [Cabel Name] via [PSFK]

Meat Love by Jan Svankmajer

In case you don’t know : « I love meat ». All meats. So when I found this video called Meat Love (no, I won’t tell you what I googled), I was more than happy. It tell the love story of two young and gorgeous beef steacks. There is a metaphorical truth behind that love story, but as I don’t want to spoil you the pleasure of discovering it. Let’s just say, it is a carnal love.

The author, Jan Svankmajer, is a Czech surrealist artist. He is known for his surreal animations and features, which have greatly influenced other artists such as Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, The Brothers Quay and many others. Švankmajer has gained a reputation over several decades for his distinctive use of stop-motion technique, and his ability to make surreal, nightmarish and yet somehow funny pictures. He is still making films in Prague.

Švankmajer’s trademarks include very exaggerated sounds, often creating a very strange effect in all eating scenes. He often uses very sped-up sequences when people walk and interact. His movies often involve inanimate objects coming alive and being brought to life through stop-motion. Food is a favourite subject and medium. Stop-motion features in most of his work, though his feature films also include live action to varying degrees.

Hand from Above de Chris O'Shea

Hand from Above (la main du dessus) est une installation interactive qui se trouve à Liverpool. Une caméra filme en temps réel un bout de trottoir et affiche l’image sur un écran géant. Une main (de Dieu?) gigantesque apparait sur l’écran et intéragit avec les gens. Elle les chatouiles, les réduit à la taille d’une foumi ou les kidnappe physiquement. En regardant la vidéo, on voit bien que les gens sont surpris de prime abord et qu’ils s’amusent ensuite comme des petits fois avec cette installation. L’idée est assez séduisante et franchement ludique. Il faudrait mettre ça dans le métro parisien, histoire de dérider un peu les voyageurs gris.

"Pork and Beans" by Weezer and all its Internet Phenomenon videos in one post

I know, this song is old, this music vid has been online for a while and blah blah blah. Yes, but I had forgotten about it. And when I fell on it again during my watch on the Web, I said to myself : « What a wonderful vid ».

They have incorporated all the Youtube celebrities, popular faces and memes in one of the happiest mash-up of last year.  (Please, don’t tell me it was the year before, I’m feeling old today). And you may recognize some of them, but can you recognize all of them ? If you think you have a solid mème culture, watch the video above first, then go on…If you don’t, watch the videos below first, then go back up to appreciate.

They invited some of the greatest Youtube celebrities to join in the vid and the results is really funny. Some tried to spot all the memes and celebrities that are in the Pork and Beans music vid. And yes, you did think : « oh yes, I’ve watched this one, I remember. »

A channel 9 reporter in Australia was telling the news for the day when a MASSIVE seagull droped by the studios and the cameras also picked it up… Very funny only in australia..

Un reporter australien de Channel 9  annoncent les infos du jour quand une ENORME mouette s’est posée près des studios. Heureusement, la caméra a tout filmé… Notre fin est proche.

Student Graduation Animation by Sjors Vervoort.

Vidéo de fin d’année de Sjors Vervoort, un étudiant néerlandais en animation.  La bande-son est de Steven Aerts. Des bestioles dessinées sur du carton se baladent dans les rues d’une ville. On pourrait rapprocher son travail de celui de Blu et lui reprocher. Mais franchement, c’est le genre de vidéo qui cartonne, non ?

Iron Sky - There are Nazis on the Moon !

Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity.

From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

Now it’s 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.

Iron Sky is a science fiction comedy being produced by Energia Productions, Blind Spot Pictures and Cinet and co-produced by 27 Films. At the moment, the team is finalizing the script, working to gather a top-notch production team, and are looking for second-round financing. [Iron Sky]

Director Keith Schofield is back with a new vid. His next music video is for « Heaven Can Wait » by Charlotte Gainsbourg & Beck . Here, he shows the end of a movie and the hero struggling with the credits going from the bottom to the top of the image. It’s just fun and the acting is great.

Ce clip commence à la fin d’un film et la musique de Justice est utilisé pour le générique de fin. Le héro peut voir le générique et après s’être amusé un temps avec le lettrage commence à souffrir de ce défilement qui le gêne de plus en plus. J’adore le moment où il veut dormir et se couvre les oreilles parce qu’il est agacé par la musique. Et franchement, l’acteur est parfait dans ce rôle.

Relativity by Drzach & Suchy

« Moderne »  is a part of  Relativity by Drzach & Suchy. The project is based on the technique of Shadow Casting Panels, invented by Drzach in 2004.

The idea here is that on the morning you can see one image because of the shadow cast by the sunshine on the artwork. And on the evening,  because Earth has moved, the sun cast a different shadow on the artwork revealing another piece of art.

Multiple images are encoded within a single physical object — a white panel, which displays the separate images under appropriate lighting conditions.

Technique: laser-cut foam, hand-assembled
