J’ai reçu un mail de Sarah Rosado, une illustratrice et photographe américaine de New York. Elle me présente son travail qu’elle a baptisé Dirty Little Secrets. Pour réaliser ses illustrations, elle se sert de la terre. C’est assez original même si ça me rappelle ceux qui dessinent avec du sable ou avec du café. Mais peu importe, je trouve que ses images peuvent fonctionner pour illustrer un article de presse ou même faire des couvertures de livre. Je vous publie ci-dessous son mail où elle explique le pourquoi du comment de son travail. Ainsi qu’une galerie de toutes les œuvres.
My name is Sarah Rosado and I am an Illustrator and Photographer from New York. (…) The title of my project is « Dirty Little Secrets ». I am always looking at other artist’s work online and was impressed by many works that include images created with food, flowers and other objects. This motivated me to come up with my own ideas and create images using dirt. I have not seen this before and felt it would be challenging for me to come up with an idea to shape dirt into everyday objects and accessorize it to create a 3-D effect. Each image has it’s own meaning. Viewers can decide what they really see and what it means to them individually. Who knows, they may find some « dirty » little secrets.
