Rebecca Black chante les vendredis comme personne. C’est insupportable à écouter. Et surtout son titre Friday fait partie des territoires sur lesquels personne ne doit s’aventurer sérieusement. Star Wars Begins. Fan documentarian Jambe Davdar has completed has completed his third documentary about the original Star Wars trilogy. He’s re-cut all three films, editing in alternate takes, deleted scenes, original audio, with quotes from various interviews and commentaries and recordings playing over the footage like the ultimate DVD commentary.
By far, the best thing I’ve seen on Star Wars. This is huge !
Installez vous confortablement car vous allez passer beaucoup de temps à regarder une série de documentaire absolument géniaux sur la trilogie Star Wars. Ce documentaire a été réalisé par un fan qui s’appelle Jambe Davdar et qui a beaucoup de temps libre. Il a ré-assemblé les 3 films de la première trilogie en utilisant uniquement des scènes coupées au montage, des prises non retenues, le son original sans effet-spéciaux, des citation d’interviews diverses, des commentaires et des enregistrements qu’il a superposés, intégrés, mixés pour faire un film commenté façon documentaire ultime. Une pure merveille.
In Almost Every Picture est une série de livres de photographie initié par Erik Kessels qui reprend un principe simple : rassembler des photos amateurs d’une personne au cours des années. C’est aussi hilarant que troublant. Par exemple, son dernier livre In Almost Every Picture N°9 : Black Dogs montre le combat d’une famille à travers les années pour photographier leur chien noir dont le visage est constamment invisible.

Playing For Pocket Change is a mini series featuring musicians playing on the streets and in the subways of New York City. Often overlooked and ignored, we find out who these people are and what makes them want play in the world’s strangest venue.
Daniel Smalls a.k.a. Geechee Dan sings in subway stations in New York City. His voice is amazing. He might remind you Grandpa Elliott, one of the street singer that performed in the song Stand by Me in Playing for Change. In the american streets, there are some people with real talents. It’s just too sad they are being ignored.
Je viens de découvrir ce chanteur, il s’appelle Daniel Smalls, mais dans la rue où il chante pour vivre, on l’appelle Geechee Dan. Sa voix est incroyable. Il y a de la soul et de la douleur dedans. C’est beau à en hurler. Cette vidéo fait partie d’une série de mini-documentaires sur les chanteurs de rue de New York. Cette mini-série s’appelle Playing For Pocket Change, un clin d’œil à Playing for Change, un projet plus ambitieux dont j’ai déjà parlé. Ceci étant dit, quand je vois tout ce talent laissé à la rue et celui qui est en haut des affiches, je suis mal à l’aise. C’est une piqûre de rappel qui montre que, pour réussir, il faut trouver les bonnes oreilles. Et les gens qui ont ces oreilles là, aiment l’argent et pas la musique. Dommage.
